Interact with nature in our environmentally controlled greenhouse
YOU CAN GROW!
Supporting the whole-person health of the people we serve is our number one priority. Facilitated by a professional, Horticultural Therapy is the practice of using plants, gardens, and nature to improve people's social, spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. Gardening allows people to develop lifelong skills like responsibility, teamwork, and patience. We are proud to be the only organization in our region to offer this unique service.
Disability and food insecurity have a close and well-documented relationship. At Hetlinger our goal is to remove this, and the many barriers faced by the people we serve. Our 2,200 square-foot greenhouse and Lifeskills and Learning Kitchen provide year-round access to healthy food and a place to learn how to prepare the food that is grown on-site.
